Brad Whitlock joined Abnormal AI in 2019 as the company’s very first intern. Over the past five years, he’s grown into a Staff Software Engineer, leading core initiatives on the Platform and Infrastructure team. Today, he helps architect scalable systems for multi-region deployments and supports Abnormal’s expanding footprint—including secure environments for government customers. His work enables product teams to build faster and more securely on top of a shared, AI-native foundation.

Brad’s journey at Abnormal reflects the company’s belief in growing talent from within. “I’ve been encouraged to take on challenges I never imagined—because the company keeps growing, and the problems keep getting more interesting,” he says. He’s seen firsthand how AI tools have evolved from emerging experiments to essential accelerators—from debugging distributed systems to automating large-scale code changes in minutes.
